2015: Singer-songwriter JW Roy

Floris: “JW's music has been a common thread running through my life for the past 20 years. My favourites are the theatre tours where he plays his Dutch and Brabantian work. For my 40th birthday, my brothers surprised me by inviting JW to perform. Hearing 'As ge ooit' performed live on your 40th birthday is quite the experience... Since that day, we've been supporting JW's projects every now and then. Of course we provided him with shoes for his tours, we've sponsored his book 'Dry goods and groceries' and later the repress of 'Laagstraat 443' and 'Ach, zalig man' as a double album.

As a thank you for all our efforts, JW allowed us to use one of his songs in a campaign video. I chose the track 'Waiting game'. It's not on any album, I just stumbled over it somewhere online. JW told me that he had almost forgotten ever recording it. We shot the images for the campaign in the Nepalese Himalayas. The music was a perfect match. Meanwhile, JW had gotten so excited about rediscovering his own song that he released it as a single. And that's why, when you look up the single 'Waiting game' by JW Roy on Spotify, the artwork depicts Himalayan mountains with a teeny tiny Floris in the foreground".
