“The shoe had to be light and extremely comfy.”
Floris about this item:
"This shoe is called De Venker. We named it after the Boshuis Venkraai (Forest Restaurant Venkraai). It’s a super cosy café around the corner from us in the Oisterwijk woods. As inspiration for our shoes, we often describe a typical man or woman. For instance, we made this shoe for a man who enjoys a relaxed Sunday morning drinking coffee with his family in Boshuis Venkraai, followed by a relaxing walk through the woods. It’s pretty clear: the shoe had to be light and extremely comfy, look good with a Sunday outfit but casual enough for a forest walk. As far as I am concerned, it came out well. I must confess, though, that our stereotypes never really pan out. The only time my inspiration matched the user 100% was when I wrote this piece. I wrote this for a man with a sense of style and quality, a man who still truly appreciates craftsmanship and who really immerses himself in the product he's interested in by reading these lines :) Should this be your shoe, enjoy it! Off to Boshuis Venkraai, I’d say!!!"
