Caring for sneakers is not hugely different from caring for dress shoes. The most significant difference is that sneakers often feature textiles. Always use a preventive moisture and dirt-resistant spray for the textile areas (e.g. Carbon Pro by Collonil). In the vast majority of cases, the entire sneaker can be sprayed with this product. For more information about caring for suede leather, smooth leather, printed leather and combined materials, go to: smooth leather, suede and printed leather.
White sneakers To keep a white sneaker as white as possible, preventive care is essential. Use a good moisture and dirt-resistant spray (e.g. Carbon Pro by Collonil). Various products for refreshing white sneaker leather are also available (including 'Sneaker white' by Collonil). Moreover, there are some home remedies that can freshen up white suede or textile. We recommend that you visit your local cobbler or sneaker cleaner and ask for their professional recommendation.
The sole edge Sneakers look nice and fresh when the sole edge is clean. The rubber side of the sole can be washed with water and regular soap or with a regular cleaning agent. For a thorough cleaning of the sole edge, we recommend Collonil's 'Midsole Cleaner'. With this product, you can remove the most stubborn stains from the sides of a sneaker’s sole. Even heavily stained white soles become beautifully white again. This way, the sole stays neat longer and is also easier to clean.
Maintain sneakers with the right care products and keep them looking fresh for a long time. Prevent dirt and moisture from getting in.
