“For our suede, we work with different suede tanners. The suede for this sneaker comes from a relatively small Tuscan suede tanner. Their assortment is small and doesn’t change much from season to season, but what they have is really well developed. Their colour range is compact, but very beautiful. You can tell from their colour chart that a professional has really studied every colour thoroughly. The colours are beautiful, rich and deep. The suede is perfectly oiled and has a velvety nap texture (the trace you leave on the surface when you brush your hand over the suede). With basic sneakers such as these, this suede works very well. As a finishing touch, we added a piece of hairy leather to the back of the heel. This is just normal calf leather that hasn’t been treated with lime during the tanning process. Lime usually removes the hair from the hide during the tanning. In this case, it’s still there. Super chic!”
