Floris about this shoe:„The sole of this shoe consists of two ‘honey-coloured’ tones. The front area around the toes is pretty dark while the rear is mixed with pieces of lighter rubber. This two-colour effect at the back is achieved through good old craftsmanship. At the sole manufacturers, two massive, rectangular pieces of rubber are placed directly into the metal mould. At the front, they place a monochromatic piece and at the back they place a piece of two colours of rubber which have been – very carefully – mixed together manually (I can imagine what you must be thinking right now… and you are right… it is pretty much like baking a marble cake at home). After the mould is closed, the pressure and heat cause the rubber to melt and take on the shape of the sole. When you take a closer look at the sole, you will notice that not one sole is identical to the next and that the lines between both colours aren’t exactly straight either. Thus, unique shoes : ) Apart from that, this is a really nice basic shoe that is suitable for almost any occasion.”
This casual lace boot is made of dark brown leather finished with a snake print. Along the sides, the shoe has cobalt blue suede leather piping and the heel cap is adorned with black leather piping. The boot’s toe cap has a full and round last which, for the most part, sinks into the sole. The taupe-coloured sole is stitched to the upper. The back of the sole is finished with an army pattern that is also visible along the sides. The broad laces are made of blue cotton. The lining is made of black leather and the leather footbed is fully removable.
Dark blue leather belt with a snake print and a width of 4 cm (article number 75166/00).
There is a matching belt available for this shoe. The belt is in the same colour and made from the same material as the shoes. Details such as grain, texture and finishing methods are identical to those of the shoe. The belt can be manually adjusted to the desired size.
