Complaints and guarantee

Every shoe that leaves our factory must meet exceptionally high quality standards. Multiple quality checks are carried out throughout the manufacturing process. However, shoemaking is still manual work, and the materials are, to a large extent, manually processed natural products. It is therefore impossible to completely rule out the possibility that a shoe that leaves our factory fails to meet the quality requirements. A carefully developed complaint handling procedure has been set up for these types of incidental cases.

The most important criterion in assessing a complaint is that the shoe must meet the properties that you as a consumer can reasonably expect. There is no fixed term within which a claim should be filed to qualify for warranty. You can read more about the assessment criteria used when assessing a complaint in the 'Background' section.

As required by law, a warranty is provided by the party with whom you conclude the sales agreement. This party shall assess the complaint and offer compensation in the event of a justified complaint. Depending on where the shoes were purchased, you should contact your Van Bommel dealer or Schoenfabriek van Bommel itself.
