Floris: “In 2011 and 2012, the offices at our factory underwent major renovation and expansion. During the official opening, my father placed a memorial stone into the wall near the main entrance. He inserted the brick under a stone he had placed there 60 years earlier, as a 10-year-old child. The old stone reads: ‘This stone was laid by Frans van Bommel, 15 Sept 1951.’ The new stone below it reads: ‘This one too. 27 Nov 2012‘."
