"I drew the side edge of this sole in the middle of the night on a napkin in my hotel room during a design trip. It's not exactly an amazingly creative marvel, but watch out - stating the obvious... Simple ideas are often the most difficult. For the look of this shoe the side edge of the sole is the most important by far, but of course the bottom gets attention too. The thread of this shoe consists of a relief of small round studs. If you study the relief up close, you can see that tiny smiley faces have been drawn onto some of the studs. It's a kind of "I was here" statement, only in a more classy way. Other than that, this is just a comfortable summer sneaker for any occasion (our commercial staff told me to say that, but I think it's really true)." The napkin is on display in my office!"
