Floris: “As a manufacturing shoe factory, we work closely with our local fire brigade. We do everything we can to prevent any calamities from happening, but it’s reassuring that the fire brigade is familiar with our company and premises. It’s important not to take the fire brigade's readiness and professional actions for granted. With this sneaker, we as a company want to take a moment to honour all the brave and helpful members of the Dutch fire brigade.”

We didn’t take long discussing the colour of the sneaker. The sneaker is red with small white, black, gold and blue details. "Screw four wheels and a ladder to those sneakers and you’ll have a hard time distinguishing it from a real fire truck," says Floris.

What Floris said about it back then: "We’ve collaborated with well-known actors, bands and athletes in the past. All of them are unique talents that we celebrate as heroes. The ambiguous thing is that the real heroes of this world who are dealing with the harsh reality of everyday life sometimes get overlooked. I like that with this project, we can pay tribute to these very people, the heroes of the fire brigade."
